Set in Bentley’s Memorial Hall, our welcoming nursery school is rooted in village life. Children enjoy free-flow access to the outdoors throughout the day, whatever the weather, with plenty of opportunities to explore, investigate, move and take safe risks.

A nurturing place to grow

We celebrate each child’s individuality and create a relaxed, secure environment where children can follow their interests. Through play, exploration and open-ended natural resources, we encourage confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.

Part of the Bentley community

Our close relationships with the village school and local care home bring meaningful experiences into nursery life. Children explore the school’s woodland, take part in community celebrations and enjoy spending time with care-home residents—building communication, empathy and a sense of belonging.

Enriching early learning

Small-group phonics and communication activities help develop listening, language and early literacy skills. Yoga and mindfulness also support children’s confidence, physical development and emotional wellbeing.

A few wonderful words from our current parents at Bentley

"Jack has been with Dottie Tots, since he was 10 months old. Now being 2 and a half, Dottie Tots have been central to Jack being a bright, confident, happy young man.

When we were looking for nurseries, caring was top of our list. We had visited several settings, who focused on resources and pricing. The first time we visited Dottie tots, the focus was ALL on Jack, what was his needs, what was his likes, what could Dottie tots do to help create a home from home. This made our decision to go with Dottie tots a breeze.  Alice and Kim, cared for our baby boy and could not have done more to help Jack thrive, Becca and Katy give him so much caring now he is in the 'big hall' helping him work through his feelings and encourage learning!

Jack beams when he walks in and talks about his Dottie Tots family when he is not there. I could not recommend Dottie tots more!! "

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and dedication shown by the team at Dottie tots. From the very first day, my child was welcomed with warmth and genuine affection, making the transition into nursery life smooth and positive. The staff are incredibly attentive, patient, and friendly.

The environment is bright, safe, and engaging — filled with creative learning activities that spark curiosity and joy in the children. I’ve seen tremendous growth in my child’s confidence, social skills, and early learning abilities. It’s clear that the team is passionate about early childhood development and truly cares about the well-being and happiness of each child.

"Both of our children have attended Dottie Tots and both have had a wonderful time! It’s so clear that all the staff know the children as individuals and take care of them so well. My daughter, who is currently a pre-schooler, has grown so much in confidence and has been loving learning in readiness for school. She has been cared for incredibly well and trusts the staff at Dotties.

We are so grateful for all that the team have done for us!

We’re so happy since moving to Dottie Tots Bentley! The staff are incredibly warm and caring, and our son feels settled and well looked after there. The natural toys and free flow play environment are wonderful — they encourage creativity, independence, and aid learning. We’ve noticed a boost in our son’s confidence and ability and are so happy with our choice.
