Parent Area
At Dottie Tots, we believe that children thrive when their families and nursery work closely together.
Parents and carers know their children best and are their first and most important educators. We value the knowledge, experiences and ideas you bring, and we want every family to feel welcomed, respected, listened to and included in nursery life.
Our team will keep you informed about your child’s experiences, development and progress. We also encourage you to share what is happening at home—including your child’s interests, achievements, routines and any changes that may affect their wellbeing. This helps us provide care and learning that is truly tailored to your child.
There are lots of ways you can be involved, including:
-
Sharing information about your child’s needs, interests, experiences and progress
-
Contributing to reviews and assessments, including the progress check at age two
-
Talking with your child’s key person and sharing ideas or feedback
-
Joining us for nursery events, celebrations and informal discussions
-
Sharing a skill, interest, culture, tradition or experience with the children
-
Volunteering to support suitable nursery activities
-
Taking part in community projects and charity events
Your involvement can be as much or as little as works for your family. Our door is always open, and we welcome your questions, ideas and feedback as we work together to give your child the very best start.
