Situated in the Kingsley Centre and surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside, our nursery offers children a calm, nurturing place to learn through play, nature and exploration.

Space to explore

Children have free-flow access to our secure garden and dedicated field throughout the day. There is plenty of room to run, dig, climb and investigate—and they may even spot lambs grazing nearby. Our relationship with the local farmer has also created memorable experiences such as bottle-feeding lambs.

Learning within the community

Being part of the Kingsley Centre gives children a strong connection with village life. Everyday experiences, including choosing fruit and vegetables for snacks, help develop independence, responsibility and valuable life skills.

Nature-rich experiences

Our relationship with The Green Room School provides further opportunities for forest-school-inspired learning and encounters with farm animals and reptiles. Weekly phonics activities support communication, listening and early literacy, while yoga helps children develop mindfulness, movement and emotional awareness.

A few wonderful words from our current parents at Kingsley

"Where do I start?  When I first visited Dottie Tots I was really struggling with a child who suffered with

extreme anxiety and undiagnosed autism.  From the first visit I was shown an environment that was loving,

supportive and inclusive.

I was reassured that my daughter would be in the best hands and this couldn't have been more true.

I honestly do not believe any other setting could have provided what Dottie Tots have provided.  In the space of 9

months my daughter has gone from a child that could not be out in public or around a single other child to a child

that now has friends and is ready to go to school.  Dottie Tots have supported us every step of the way. They have

been hugely flexible, very understanding and have gone above and beyond all expectations. Never in my dreams

did I think my child would have the opportunities that she now does.

Not only have Dottie Tots helped my daughter to gain confidence and to live her life to the fullest that she can,

they have been there every step of the way for her diagnosis, her EHCP and her TOPS therapy.  They have

supported her challenging behaviour and never made her feel negatively about it. They have helped with

interventions and ideas of support.  They will never know the gravity of what they have done for myself and my

family.  I am literally crying as I write this because I have no idea how we walk away from them in September or

how we will ever thank them enough"

"Our daughter is always excited to run into nursery, curious and eager to know what she will be doing each day.

The nursery as a whole and every person who works within it communicates excellently, both through the

Famly app and in person. We always know what is happening and also know what our daughter is working on.

Observations on Famly include links to the Early Learning goals. The nursery runs regular events, from

mothers day to parents evenings.

The nursery also is welcoming and inclusive. For example, they celebrated Eid beautifully, taking multiple days

to explore food, art and other cultural elements. We are so happy with the way that our daughter comes home,

talking about things like the life cycle of a seed, which is not just a paper actively but a practical experience.

I cannot speak highly enough of all that Dottie Tots do."

Laura - May 2025

"Our two children currently attend Dottie Tots Kingsley and we feel very lucky indeed to have found Nicky

and her wonderful team. Our children adore the staff at Dottie tots and we are continually impressed by their

amazing efforts to provide new and stimulating learning experiences.

Nicky clearly inspires her close knit team who create a loving and inclusive environment. As a parent I have been

especially impressed with their levels of communication.  In particular, their diligent use of the ‘family app’ in order

to provide daily updates and photos of each child is nothing short of remarkable. As well as hosting a multitude of

parent events which I believe shows a real intent to foster a local community in a relatively rural area."

Since Max started at Dottie Tots in September 2024 we have been impressed by both their professionalism and their care. The staff communicate to us about his day through the Famly app and are always willing to talk to us about how he’s doing or listen to any questions or concerns we have.

We have noticed the positive impact they have had on Max’s growth and development since he started nursery. His social skills have developed and his confidence and curiosity have grown. They offer a wide range of engaging activities and resources to help him learn. We feel grateful that he has such a supportive, nurturing and safe nursery.
